Chamberlain College of Nursing is seeking Part Time Online Visiting Professors interested in teaching students in our Master of Science - Family Nurse Practitioner specialty track . This is 100% ONLINE teaching, an incredibly flexible and convenient way to share your experience and knowledge with those who aspire to enjoy the career success you already have. We are currently seeking candidates for the January 2019 session which will run from January 7th through March 2nd.
We care for our students and are dedicated to their success. To ensure we are offering the highest quality education we provide thorough training to all new faculty members. Our New Faculty Orientation is a 3 week session, part time and asynchronous, similar to taking online courses. There is no set schedule, you can work at your own pace and will be participating in group discussions, completing assignments, taking quizzes and a final exam.
The specific courses under consideration for the January 2019 session are:
NR503 - Population Health, Epidemiology & Statistical Principles
In this course, the student is introduced to advanced-practice competencies. These competencies include the utilization of epidemiological and statistical principles to provide evidence-based management of the health of populations.
NR-509: Advanced Physical Assessment
In this course, the student builds expanded knowledge of health-assessment principles specific to the advanced practice nurse. The student explores, analyzes, applies and evaluates these principles in relation to history-taking and physical examination of clients across the life span.
NR-601: Primary Care of the Maturing & Aged Family
In this course, the student continues to build knowledge of health-assessment principles specific to the role of the FNP, with a focus on the common health problems and healthcare needs of the middle-aged and older adult and family. The student explores, analyzes, applies and evaluates chronic health conditions frequently encountered in the primary care of older adults. The student further develops skills related to patient education, protocol development, follow-up and referral through a clinical practicum experience in a precepted primary-care setting.
